It seems as though whenever I express my disagreement towards another black man, he’s quick to say I am just another angry black woman with an attitude. But why is that? Are they so mentally brainwashed into believing women still don’t have a voice? Do they feel as though we’re “talking back” or “being too masculine?” I mean, who wrote the rules in conversation!?
Well, I am here to tell you that this isn’t the 50’s & 60’s! And times have changed. How many times a day do I have to take being called a B***h, all because I respectfully disagreed?
I’ve been in relationships where any rebuttal that went against my man’s opinion was considered disobedience. And it’s not fun. (Hey, guys! You’re not always right, ya know!) And most people don’t know what that does to a woman. It can affect everything from her confidence, to her thought process. It will confuse her on the subject submission and being flat out controlled. It will even out a damper on her love for the one telling her she’s out of line.
Happy Wife, Happy Life.
So… My Dear Black Man, remember you’re supposed to be out protectors in a world of oppression. Our provider of mental, and emotional stability. I find it crazy how you treat us as though we are beneath you, WHEN WE CREATED YOU. And until you realize that this “Man’s World” won’t be nothing without a woman, (Shout out to the late great James Brown), we will never be able to stand against our real enemy. Society.
Peace.
